Watkins had one of the more productive seasons for any wide receiver in his classification last season and this fall he’ll look to one up a season where he almost amassed one thousand yards. He is a proven receiver that has the quickness to beat good cover corners in the state of Georgia. Watkins runs nice underneath routes and shows excellent hands getting them under the ball on diving receptions. He shows excellent body control adjusting to the ball mid-flight. He has a quick first step, and almost right when he gets the ball, he recognizes the optimum path to gain the most yards and gets up field. Watkins doesn’t have elite speed, but we think he can be very successful in the right system due to elite coordination and his elusiveness after the catch.
