Jones junior film seems to be cut short, but what you do see is a player that goes hard on each snap. I really like his hustle, and he definitely pops the ball carrier whenever he has a shot. He goes in with bad intentions, and shows no slow right before impact. Tackling is physical, but want to see him drop his hips more when going into an attempt. Jones uses his momentum to be an effective tackler and is a big hitter – you cannot teach that mindset. He needs to work on his lateral movement, so he can set up his tackles better. Jones has seen solid college interest this offseason landing a few D1 offers. He’s a very good athlete, and at the next level will need to play near the line of scrimmage to take full advantage of his skill set. We would like to see more of Jones in pass coverage in his senior, but you have to like his physicality and intensity when playing the game. He’s up to 190 now, and should easily be over 200 by the time he is in college.
