Davis is the son of former college football player at Georgia Tech, which he doesn’t have exactly the same size, but you can tell he is well coached playing in the trenches. He looks like a good SDE at the next level who should pack on another 30-40 pounds. He gets nice leverage, plays with a strong base. Finishes off his tackles with authority. Walton was one of the better teams in 7-A no doubt and Davis’s physical play set the tone for the defense in a lot of ways. I really like the way he takes on blocks and really delivers the punishment. The senior is a smart player who recognizes a lot of screen passes and does a nice job defending the play out on the flat before it can materialize.
