Ferguson is the starting LT at Athens Academy, and going thru some of his junior film, there is a lot to like. First, he is about 6’5″ and 6’6″ and has good body control while engaged. Maybe it’s his baseball background, but the class of 2021 recruit seems to play within himself and does not lose control of body while engaged with a defender. He keeps a pretty flat back, and does a nice job of driving his leg thru the opponent. Ferguson is part of a group at Athens Academy that has been sniffing a state title the last few years. Got to like his athletic profile, right now he is a bit lighter than your average OL, but should pour on the right weight in college either way. Has gained about 25 lbs in the last year, probably going to repeat that trend during the next offseason too. Getting quicker with his kick step, blocking lower and getting more flexible in the hips are areas to continue to sharpen up. Ferguson is a legit D1 talent, and should be on most college’s recruiting board at this point.
