Jiquez McCurdy – CB
Alpharetta

#8 CORNERBACK

HT: 5’11”
WT: 182
GPA: 2.9
Class: 2019

McCurdy plays right in the face of the receiver and does a nice job with his hands knocking the receiver off his route right at the line of scrimmage. He seems to be well schooled player, does a nice job of ripping the pass out. He does an excellent job of getting inside positioning on the receiver, especially on these deep passes. He was manned up against some solid receivers last year, and made solid plays. This fall he will be “the guy” at Alpharetta and will be matched up against everyone’s number 1, which is a tremendous opportunity for him. Even then he did a really good job of marking the young phenom for Centennial or Dash Hairston at Milton. Would like to see him improve his acceleration and hip quickness to really get FBS looks, but McCurdy is a really solid football prospect. Needs to work on physicality getting off blocks and just do not see many solo tackles on film either.
