Williams has nice speed to the football and couple that with his 6’2″ frame, then you can already see some of his college upside. The 2025 edge defender had 10 hurries on the year and close to 90 tackles. He does a good job of playing in space where his excellent speed to the football closes the gap fast. Williams is still very much filling out his frame, weighing around 180-190 during his junior year. We would like to see him over 200 lbs. by the time he hits his senior year. He plays with good physicality off the edge and has fairly strong hands taking on blockers. Williams needs to improve in coverage though. With his speed and apparent length, you would like to see the 2025 linebacker slide over the middle; at least next year as a senior. There really shouldn’t be much problem with Williams adding weight to his frame and playing around 220 lbs. at the next level. If he makes the right progress, Williams could end up being a steal in this recruiting class considering his combination of speed, length and physicality.
