What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I’m a physical athlete that plays downhill.

Powell is a stocky football player to say the least, but seems to move around fairly well – looks really flexible changing directions. Considering his frame you could almost see Powell continuing to get bigger, and potentially move to the defensive line. He’s a smart player, reads the play really early and gets a good beat on the ball carrier. Powell has that London Fletcher style to his game, plays low to the football and can make some massive hits when filling the hole. Pure run stopper. His top end speed is poor, even considering his size. He shows really light feet moving around in the tackle box and does a great job of lining up his attempts using his impressive agility. Also, not to forget the crazy amount of passion he shows on the field, Powell just seems like the right guy to get into your locker room.
