Holmes is a speedy athlete out of Appling County that has produced well his junior year. Directing his team to the top in 3-A for all of the 2019 season, the 2021 athlete has done a solid job of running the offense. He delivers his fakes well, and does a nice job of getting up field. Tough football player, keeps his eyes upfield in the pocket and makes some tough throws taking a hit right away. Needs to sell his mesh a little more, that would really open up the offense even more for Appling Co. Holmes is a slippery athlete, he makes subtle jukes in tight spaces to get extra chunks of yardage. Top end speed is solid, but is caught from behind at times. Holmes will put his body on the line, I know I said that earlier, but the longer you go into his highlights the more you realize how willing Holmes is to get the first down to advance the chains. Throwing is okay, he needs to clean up his release and work on transferring his weight over to his front foot. Interesting prospect, probably a slot back or even a corner at the next level, but could make a jump as a passer to get option teams interested.
