Roberts has a nice explosive first step and keeps his pads parallel to the line of scrimmage. Does a nice job of tackling through the ball carrier. Does a nice job of meeting the ball carrier at the waist. Accelerates quickly and covers good ground, and at 6’2″, I like his versatility to play multiple positions in college. Roberts can explode thru the gaps quickly and most of the time drive his legs thru the tackle. Punishing hitter, definitely looks like a good for colleges to go after from the get-go. Roberts has gained about 12 lbs since last year and quickly approaching 240 lbs. He’s definitely a powerful big athlete with good positional versatility – I think he should attract some solid D1 interest over the remainder of his recruitment. Needs to work more on pursuit angles for sure, there some situations where he could have taken a more direct route.
