Jackson has a good frame, nice length at around 6’2″. Jackson has a long running stride and when he is able to get into his full gait eats up yardage but not a quick-accelerator. He’s a good all-around athlete though, so I wonder if more weight could help maximize his speed. Tackling is okay, sometimes he tucks his head down too much. Jackson is an enticing look athlete, but needs more work refining his level of skill. He does change directions well, and shows good hip swivel too. Jackson is very close to being a good CB – his length allows for him to jam receivers at the LOS with good affect. Jackson has taken a jump this offseason during the camp season, and that helped him earn some D1 interest, including a few late summer offers. His 12 PBU’s would catch your attention, but next year would like to see him take the jump and turn more of these into turnovers. Jackson is an FBS caliber DB in terms of athleticism, he just doesn’t have the training that so many can take advantage of. The more you watch Jackson, the more you realize that, and given the time he could be one of the steals in this recruiting class.
