Cone has nice length at around 6’3″. Pretty solid looking running stride, he definitely shows some quick-twitch with his change of direction after the catch. Played both WR and SS last year. Cone looks more like a receiver in terms of physicality, he shows pretty decent ball skills but think he could do a better job of playing the football up top. Cone’s length is more intriguing on the defensive side of the ball, his ability to change directions should be effective against a spread offense, but just not a lot of power when making a tackle. Definitely would like to see him get the ball carrier down quickly. Has some pretty solid film against Irwin County. He’s very inconsistent on the defensive side of the ball, but his length is definitely enticing. Really want to see more film on Cone, he could really take a jump his senior year.
