Evans is a no-doubt athletic young man. He’s got violent hands getting off blocks and can explode to the ball carrier. I really like his potential as a 3-4 OLB. He’s got such a powerful frame already, Evans no doubt looks the part. Moves really well, and not just straight line either, Evans can change direction well and looks explosive in the hips. I really like how quickly he closes in on the ball carrier. The 2020 athlete plays out in space more than you would think and in coverage gets pretty good depth too. Evans might have more versatility to play MLB or OLB than originally thought. In a lot of ways Evans looks like the complete package for a DE/OLB type prospect, his speed coming off the edge combined with his natural raw strength gives a college coach a lot to work with. Focusing on grades is really the biggest step for the 2020 recruit.
