Jackson made some exciting plays last year where his length was able to make a difference, but with his slighter frame, he is definitely slow at stepping up and stopping the ball carrier in the flat. Very raw with his footwork too, Jackson okay back pedal, and the length to close away a passing window. Jackson has solid speed to stick with a receiver on deep passes, and already does a good job of turning his head around. I could see him taking his game to another level this fall, he shows a ton of potential from a quickness and length aspect. Has a lot of potential playing in a zone defense where he can use his length playing the pass over top. He moved over to Westside-Macon last year where he filled out a good role on the team playing both safety and CB. His ability to get off blocks using his length is pretty impressive. Jackson is not a good tackler though, uses his arms way too much, and was hoping to see him play FS at the college level. I like the hustle he shows though, but needs a lot of work squaring up his hips on tackle attempts and using correct form.
