What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I’m a big Athletic guy, I can move fast off the ball and I had great hands. I stand out in a crowd and I work hard.

The state of Georgia has a deep defensive tackle class, and Beaty certainly ranks among this talented group. The 6’2″ 280 lbs. senior pops out of his stance, showing excellent timing. Good gap containment, he uses his hands well to occupy multiple blockers at times. Beaty has a good energy to the football, even cleaning up a few tackles way downfield. That says a lot about his motor. The Stockbridge defensive lineman’s ability to gauge the snap, and jump it consistently helps him win at the line of scrimmage. Couple that with active hands and a fairly quick swim move, and then you see that Beaty checks a lot of boxes. He does need to be quicker laterally and more explosive at the point of attack. A 255 power clean suggests there is ample room for improvement. Beaty is a good tackler tho, he gets fairly low and wraps up the attempts securely, so the ball carrier goes down quickly. With so many teams looking for defensive tackles late in this recruiting cycle, Beaty is a hidden gem currently with no D1 or D2 offers, which is a major miscalculation by evaluators. That’s what makes him a sleeper, and a prospect worth watching.
