What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
Excellent leadership and football IQ, hard worker and able to play many positions, and I ain’t afraid to hit nobody.
Nicholson went through a growth spurt recently, as his Hudl still says 6′ but the recent applicant shows a 6’3″ here – probably somewhere in between. Either way the big 2019 offensive tackle sets to be a big part of the offense this year, and looking at his wide shoulders and potential he shows as a pass blocker specifically there is a lot to like. Nicholson has a pretty quick kick step. He is fairly quick out his stance, but still needs to improve there. He plays with a wide powerful base. Seems to generate a lot of power while engaged. Looks like Nicholson needs more experience, which could certainly help with confidence and aggression. He has a good body and carries his weight really well, so I can see him sliding over to OG at the next level. I would like to see more production for Nicholson as a pass blocker this fall, but we think there is some really good promise in the 2019 recruit. Definitely a recruit to circle back to this fall and see how his SR year is going.
