If Jaheim Wilson is not on your radar, then you are not scouting GA well enough. The 2020 defensive tackle was one of the tackle leaders at DT in Class A as a sophomore and then moved over to Cedar Shoals his junior year where he won the Golden Helmet award for his team. Wilson is just growing into his body, but very impressed with how quickly he reads the plays, his quickness allows him angle himself around the blocker and get into the backfield. He’s made pretty good improvements in the weight room this offseason, and now right around 295. Wilson had a solid junior year – his passion for the game and determination to get off blocks was on full display. Wilson didn’t take the jump that we were expecting his junior season despite playing pretty well. 4.69 shuttle time a combine was promising, but measured out to be 5’11” and 290 lbs. Has been working on agility even more this summer, I’m def going to be watching Wilson closely this fall, he got lost in the shuffle and needed some time to adjust to the bigger players in 5-A. Senior year and Wilson looks very fast and powerful at the point of attack, always like the 2020 recruit, and I think he is really hitting his stride as a DT.
