Knott earned major reps this year for Archer, who we currently have ranked the #1 team in Class 7-A. Their defense has been the most dominant in the state in our opinion, and seniors like Knott gumming up the middle is playing a major role. The defensive tackle has a really quick first step, and moves well side-to-side across the line of scrimmage. His motor is pretty solid, and makes quite a few plays coming in from the backside that is just pure hustle. He should pack on another 25-30 pounds at the next level, and potentially become a pretty good pass-rusher at the next level. Doesn’t utilize his hands much to get off blocks, and relies more on athleticism at this current point in time. Think that FCS schools should really give him a long hard look.
