What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Leader…good teammate…High football IQ…. Commitment… Tenacity… 2018 3-AAAAAA All Region First Team QB…. 2018 All County First Team Ath….. Six 2018 area player of the week nominations with 4 selections….

Taylor earned All-Region/County honors as a junior. He shows good composure moving around in the backfield, and I like his footwork stepping into his throw firing off passes with excellent velocity. Solid trajectory on passes in the redzone, showing enough touch to throw it over top of the defense into the back of the endzone. Taylor definitely has a talent of throwing a catchable football so his player can make a play on the pass. He’s an okay runner, doesn’t exactly leap off film as he runs down field, but knows when to tuck an run. He steps up into the pocket though and creates huge running lanes. Taylor’s passing is very good no matter how you slice it. His consistent footwork in the pocket plus ability to make throws under pressure is eye-catching. Taylor does a pretty good job of looking through his progressions and dumping the pass off to the flat. Getting stronger, filling out his frame and improving as a runner should help with his recruitment, but got to be impressed with his passing fundamentals in general. Kid can throw lasers in short range, hammers the pass in on slants like a natural. Senior year he threw for 17 touchdown passes and 1536 yards to go along with 8 rushing touchdowns and 504 yards. Of note, Lakeside Evans played well this year totaling their 2nd best record since 2009 with a pretty tough schedule in 6-A. Rushing numbers are more promising too, Taylor seem to have improved his open field rushing from junior year but it’s his passing that looks so enticing.
