What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I am a hardworking athlete and student. I never back down from a challenge. If a receiver has 100 offers I want him to show me why and I’m going to show you why I should have 100 offers. And if I get a 90 on a test I’m studying harder to get 100 on the next one.
Gaines is a tough football player who sticks his nose right into the action. He chips off blocks and does a nice job of tackling in the open field, but would like to see him execute a cleaner attempt where he wraps up more. He does get low. Gaines is a pretty aggressive player in coverage. That his whole personality on the football field it seems. Played a lot of safety in 2018, but probably more of a CB at the next level. Needs to work on hip quickness, acceleration and location the football on passes from intermediate to deep range.
