Jackson Hardy – QB
GAC

#12 QUARTERBACK

HT: 6’4″
WT: 215
GPA: 3.97
Class: 2020

Hardy is taking over the starting duties this fall after waiting his turn, splitting snaps with an upperclassmen the last few seasons. He’s got all the makings of a good FBS caliber QB. At 6’4″ he throws a really pretty football with a nice tight spiral. Hardy executes the offense with proficiency. He doesn’t seem to push the envelope, and routinely checks down to easier more open targets. He reads a defense pretty quickly, and you can see from his footwork that he does a good job moving around going thru his progressions. Hardy got some good reps in this spring, and will have a lot of opportunities to show college coaches what he is made of during clutch situations. His arm strength is solid, it doesn’t blow me away, but over the last year he has gained a good bit of weight (at least 15 lbs) and I’m expecting to see an increase in velocity this fall. He ran the football more than expected at the GACA Classic, something he never does in game film. There is a good bit of buzz coming away from spring practice as Hardy shows all the tools that D1 schools will be looking for, and he should continue to impress during the summer camp circuit.
