What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Scholar athlete with AP courses. Leader for the 2020 class for the Power of Peace Project lead by Kitt Cummings since Sophomore year. I have a passion for the game of football. Hardworking and coachable. Will always give 110% in everything I do. Never backs down from a challenge. Varsity stater Junior and Senior year. Also varsity wrestler for 3 seasons.

Walper’s older brother was a good football player on the defensive side of the ball, and it looks like the solid play has continued in the family. The offensive guard plays with urgency and does a very nice sealing off his blocks for one of the better power run teams in 6-A. Walper has solid fundamental with good hand placement and definitely gets low when engaged with a defender, getting pretty solid leverage in the process. Wrestling background is obvious, but would like to see him get more on his toes while engaged and run blocking. Great mindset for the game, definitely seems to thrive in the trenches and just keeps at his opponent until he is on the ground. Quickness is good, Allatoona pulls Walper a good bit and he does an excellent job of moving his feet laterally with the defender on stretch plays off tackles. Interested if he could play some center at the next level, but either way, Walper is a tough OL who should get some solid college interest as the 2020 recruiting cycle comes to a finish.
