Whatley definitely looks the part at 6’4″ and 265 lbs.. Watching the big boy pick up a fumble and rumble 40 yard down field it’s obvious that he has good speed considering his frame. He hustles out to the sideline and hits with authority. Whatley needs to play with more leverage though, and show more urgency at the snap. A lot of his plays happen when he is unblocked. Would really like to see him work more to get off his blocks. Looks like he blocked a few field goals in 2019. He’s a good athlete, but want to see Whatley play with more energy out there on the field, especially right at the snap. He is way to high when he is engaged with an offensive linemen too.
