Washington is the definition of a sleeper in his recruiting class. Considering his size at 6’2″ and 270 lbs, wide frame and quick first step – it’s surprising how little his film has been viewed. I’m really impressed with how he reads the QB’s eyes, and getting his hands up in the passing lanes. Washington is looking to destroy the ball carrier, sometimes sacrificing tackling fundamentals for getting the big hit. He should be around 300 lbs in college, I’m curious to see if he can play offensive line, as his quickness off the ball would be effective at getting to the 2nd level for an option team.
