The 2021 recruit has poured on weight over the last year, and has really taken his game to another level as a blocker. Honestly, the way he is growing, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise to see him recruited as a OT. Skip forward a couple months since we wrote that last sentence, and that appears to be happening right now with P5 programs offering in the month of April. He does a nice job of extending thru his block and gets good leverage to manhandle his opponent. He’s earned MVP camp honors at tight end, and someone that scouts around the state like him as a receiver, but to me, Laughlin is an OL all the way. We predicted that he would be around 270 when wrote this scouting report, and Laughlin has smashed through that measuring in at 285 lbs. The way he moves, and his shear size will make him one of the more coveted OL in the state, and at this point should be a no-doubt P5 offer among most programs.
