Find me a guy in the state of Georgia who is stronger than Ho’o Naki. The Richmond Hill senior is an absolute unit at 6’1″ 315 lbs. His maxes on the bench and squat are 405 lbs. and 675 lbs. respectively. He has repped 225 lbs. 32x. Naki dominates the line of scrimmage and will be a strong candidate at All-State OL in 6A this fall. Naki is explosive and his strength is without any doubt translatable. What is more impressive is Naki playing OT, and showing good quickness moving laterally and keeping his feet with the pass rusher. Initially, we looked at his shuttle time and thought it was a weaker spot, but film suggests that is more of a training issue. He has light feet for a guy with his profile. Naki strength is coupled with strong hands at the point of attack and consistently great placement. Whether he plays OG or maybe even moves across the LOS to DT, Naki seems like a huge sleeper in this class, especially considering his 3.9 GPA. The senior has over 20 pancakes on the season, and just by judging his SR film compared to JR, he appears to be down a few lbs. even. Naki is a monster, you simply cannot find a guy as strong as him in Georgia and he seems like a D1 football player regardless of reach, height, or whatever quantifiable metric you choose. He can ball.
