Hamsley plays in the GISA for one of the best programs in Valwood. The big hitting 6’3″ DE has a solid frame and good grades to work with. Tackling is pretty solid, he gets very low on his attempt. Needs to get lower though when he is engaged. Hamsley has a solid frame to work and should be around 250 at the next level. He has pretty good acceleration. The 2021 defender uses hands well to get off blocks and shows good patience reading the play. Hits hard when everything is line up, shows above average upper body strength, but would like to see him continue to improve in the lower body, especially in the hips. Hamsley is no doubt a D1 football player but in order to draw consistent FBS interest he will have to take a jump with his weight room gains.
