Harper Atkins explodes through the hole with his hair on fire. He is excellent at squaring his shoulders up and lowering the boom on a defender. Makes hard cuts and plays really low to the ground, which makes him very difficult to tackle. The 2018 back has lightening quick feet and can shoot through a whole in a blink of an eye. His compact frame allows him to get really low and he shows some really impressive power through contact. This season he has trucked over a couple weak tackles, and looks like a really good back, especially on 3rd down situations where his running style is conducive to screen passes.
Atkins is hard to knock off his feet. He set up his blocks well and reads the defense quickly. He had great running vision and had the patience to wait for his blocks to set up , which makes him and effective running back. He is a good reciever as well. Great Athlete !
.
Harper is a quick accelerator and does a good job of reading his blocks at running back. On kickoff he sets up his blocks well and does a job of gettin field in a hurry . Atkins could make and early impact on special teams.
He is a natural runner who instinctual makes defenders miss and has a nose for the end zone.
Atkins is a great athlete with natural running instincts . He especially effective between the tackles . The risin junior plants his foot into the ground, square his pad and gets up the field in a hurry . Really impressed with his balance after taking contact . Harper has some moves that give defenders headaches
