Hartford was the defensive star this year for Sequoyah with 101 tackles, to go along with a fumble recovery and interception as well. He plays sort of a hybrid role at the nickle where his physical play and toughness was perfect against spread offenses. He does a great job of defending screen passes out to the flat and reacting quickly to the ball carrier. He’s built like a brick house and when he gets a hold of a ball carrier he knocks them straight backwards. Hartford plays low to the ground which allows him to get a lot of leverage on his tackle attempts. Love the hustle he plays with, a lot of the tackles he mad this year were thru shear determination.
