Nichols has been a varsity starter for 3 years now and will be suiting up his SR year at Evans HS. He’s a very strong offensive guard/center prospect and has continued to increase his weight lifting numbers. His new bench press is now 130 lbs more than last year and his power clean is a 70 lbs increase as well. That hard work in the weight room should really pay off, and we are hoping to see him explode a lot quicker out his stance. From a fundamental stand point he needs to focus on hand placement and keeping his back a lot flatter – he doesn’t get full strength generated through his lower body at times. His rising senior film should really close the deal on some local colleges recruiting him right now. Nichols has really come on strong in the last year, and his hard work does not stop in the weight room or on the field. In the classroom he has increased his GPA by .53 from his last profile update a year ago.
