Davis made first team All-Region as a sophomore, so that lone caught our attention. He comes in low, looks to blow through the ball carrier. Does drop his crown at times. Pretty good defensive instincts, changes directions well. Want to see better acceleration to the ball carrier. Davis is pretty good at filling the gaps though. His strength is solid, and when he makes contact the ball carrier goes down pretty quickly. Need to see his junior film to see what kind of jump he made athletically, but like Davis’ motor and overall run-stopping instincts.
