McKenzie is a player Stockbridge has been grooming to run their spread triple option offense for some time now. Last year he got some decent reps, but this year he is the guy, and has his squad near the top of 5-A in Georgia. He is very comfortable behind center, and his quick feet and agility allows him to get up field in a hurry. Really like how he plants his foot into the ground after the mesh and how he gets up field. He is slightly built, and doesn’t have breakaway speed really to play many other positions. What he can do is run this offense, and he’s got nice short space agility to elude tackles. He has a pretty strong arm, and has excellent timing with his receivers on these comebacks. He’s a triple option QB to a T, but considering how quick he is he can also play play slot receiver.
