Sanchez was at our combine in 2019 and tested out as one of the most promising 2021 recruits at any of our events. He was extremely quick with a 7.35 L-drill and an even more impressive 8’2″ standing reach. Sanchez is very long, and has a frame with tons of room to grow. His weight lifting numbers just a year ago were solid, but considering that he already weighed and you can see the 2021 recruit should explode with more time in an intense weight training program. He was a solid edge rusher this year at Grayson getting some good reps on the varsity, especially late in the season where he had a few multi-tackle for loss games. His length makes him a natural to get off blocks, and he gets into the backfield quickly. Tackling is pretty good too and he typically wraps up at the waist of the ball carrier. Sanchez is a high-upside athlete, who has taken a huge jump his senior year. His acceleration to the football and pursuit angles are much improved, and he is hitting with higher impact. No doubt, a year with the new staff at Grayson has paid big dividends, and at this point Sanchez should be considered the top uncommitted linebacker in the state of Georgia.
