All about McDowell and his little brother for that matter, but this scoop is on the 2022 recruit. He’s got very good length at around 6’3″ and shows nice lateral quickness. He closes out quickly but has the agility to change directions and react accordingly. Uses hands well to get off blocks, gets nice leverage. Tackling is okay, needs some work there – doesn’t use his lower body enough. He’s definitely received some good training for playing off the edge. He does a nice job of setting it against the run, and has solid run instincts. McDowell has good upside, continuing to pack on weight should be the #1 priority this offseason, he has a good bit of skill for his age group and shows the quick-twitch and change of directions to be moved around a good bit at the next level.
