DiMaggio is a long rangy linebacker recruit who shows a lot of hustle pursuing the football. The class of 2020 backer plays with intensity, but would like to see him tackle a little lower. His motor is definitely not in question, and DiMaggio is all over the field making plays. The 2020 recruit gets after the ball carrier, and is good at assisted tackles. He led his team in tackles in 2018. Needs to work on agility and improving his lateral quickness so he can change directions better in the tackle box. Physical at the point of attack, does a good job of engaging with the offensive linemen and getting off the block. DiMaggio comes across as a SAM at the next level, and I would like to slide him to the outside. Quality football player, has a good bit of film where he takes down FBS caliber backs in the gaps.
