Belcher had a really good yards per catch, making several long pass plays throughout his film for both his junior and senior year. He has a quick first step, which allows him release pass press coverage. His straight line speed has improved some and we have always like his long running stride. He does a great job looking the ball in and tracking deep passes. This year we are seeing high-point more passes and use his increased athleticism to his advantage. Seems to do an excellent job of catching the ball away from his body. Belcher has certainly improved his agility too, he is showing a lot more swivel in his hips. The senior has great concentration, will go down the middle and take big hits, and holds onto the football. At the next level he looks like a slot receiver, showing good quickness in short spaces, and his route running looks more crisp too. Belcher is a good downfield blocker, and would fit in well in a spread offensive system. Drop off from last season is mostly due to an offensive scheme more predicated to option, and new QB who was previously a running back.
