Searcy was one of the leading solo tacklers in Fulton County in 2023. The instinctive albeit small linebacker uses his experience to always get a good jump on the play. Searcy shoots the gap, showing good acceleration to the football. He is an excellent tackler getting low and driving his legs through contact. Although he has looked good in pass coverage in the past, Searcy has clearly improved his senior year and doing a great job of getting good depth and finishing off the ball carrier. That said, the 2024 linebacker is a run-stopper at heart, and does a great job of working around blocks to close up a hole. The efficiency in how he tackles are determined by both his pursuit angles, the impact in the attempt but also just his good fundamentals striking low and driving his legs. Searcy makes a lot of tackles out to the sideline. He does a great job of keeping his pads parallel to the line of scrimmage and patiently reading the play. He was one of the top linebackers in 4A for a reason, and is a sleeper late in the recruiting process.
