Phoenix made a really nice jump as an athlete this last year, after getting his first shot at starting varsity QB. The lefty signal caller throws a nice catchable pass, seems to have good timing with his receiver. He has a fairl quick release but drops his arm down low on deep passes at times. He’s a good short to intermediate passer who does a great job of spreading the ball around the field. Ball location is top notch on the these short slant passes. I like the 2019 recruit, and one thing I know is he is a really hard worker, and I expect him to make another nice jump this offseason. I would like to see him continue to improve his arm strength and make more improvements in the weight room as well. He runs the spread offense pretty well, and I think he can improve his acceleration more in order to become more legit dual threat.
