What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I believe that I can make a difference on a college defense. I’m a for sure tackler, coverage skills are good, I communicate well when I’m back in the secondary and I can hold my own. Also I have a short memory which is important playing db. I’m also physical at line of attack.
Mason is a pretty fluid athlete who can rotate his hips quickly and run deep for a pass breakup, but also shows decent acceleration stepping up into the flat. What I like about Mason more than anything is he makes smart plays off his assignment due to how quickly he reacts to the play, and quality tackling fundamentals to boot. He shows pretty quick feet, and does a solid job of sticking with his man. I would like to see him to do a better job of raking the pass out. I like Mason though, he is a solid tackler, and with added weight more towards 180 I can see FCS schools being very interested.
