Ruff has good size at a light back pedal at his safety spot. He shows good instincts reading the play making early breaks on the play. His defensive line is really good, so not too many tackler were needed at the line of scrimmage, but watching him pursue the ball you can see great hustle. He shows really good ball skills making catches on interceptions up top, natural ability to read the QB’s eyes and the play. The 2019 recruit already has great size, and is a fundamental tackler in open space. Ruff is a quick accelerator, and to me he is an FBS caliber recruit due to his ability to defend the run and pass.
