What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

“This past football season, I was a two-way started at both RB and LB. I had 1,003 all purpose yards (rushing, receiving, and KO return), and I also had 73 tackles. I was recognized as a 2nd team all Region at running back.

During my freshman and sophomore track season, I qualified for the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Track Meet in two events: 400m and 4x400m relay. In my freshman year, I placed in 6th place in the 400m; and sophomore year I placed 5th in the 400m. In my sophomore year, I was a member of the 4×400 meter relay team that won the state track meet (GHSA 1A Private Classification). My PR in the 400m is 50.3 FAT.

Pickett was a bright spot last year at Landmark breaking off a few long runs. I like his frame a good bit as a back at the next level, he shows a powerful lower build, really accelerates quickly right when the ball gets into his hands. He displays legit speed to take away defenders in good pursuit angles. Pickett’s straight line speed should absolutely be taken advantage of at the next level, especially on jet sweeps and bubble screens. Where he could improve is seeing him show more patience waiting for his blocks to develop, and try to utilize his good acceleration more. As a defender he does a really nice job of covering a ton of space, very physical player with an aggressive mindset. Doesn’t shy away from contact, plays the game with a really good motor. Pickett has the frame to add really good weight and if he does so we can see him attracting D1 colleges. Very good upside considering his speed.
