What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I can and have played everywhere in the secondary making plays. Won MVP and led school in picks at FS. Varsity starter at CB Tied for 5th in sacks at SS. Will make plays and help my team until I just can't. Go no matter where coach needs me to play. Just a natural competitor that just won't quit.
Corbett played all over for MLK but looks the most comfortable playing closer to the line of scrimmage at the nickle spot. The senior is an extremely aggressive player and comes off after the QB on delayed blitzes like his hair is on fire. Tough football player, with good instincts reading the ball carrier out in open space. This season he is making more plays in the passing game, doing a better job of positioning himself on deep balls. That’s probably the biggest improvement we have seen from last year. His open tackling is really impressive and you got to love the nergy he plays with on each down. We like him as a 5th DB in a 4-2-5 setup. Do not feel completely good about him as a FCS player though, but like how hard he hits.
