Thompson has gained about 10 lbs over the last year and really increased his production from soph to junior year. He’s got a long body type and can stride out picking up big chunks of yardage. His angular frame is a great fit at wide receiver. You are starting to see thing click more breaking tackles up field and making plays. Thompson escapes out of the first tackle consistently, but still needs work on his lateral quickness and being able to break though more tackle attempts. He’s a solid intermediate route runner, but has more potential as a deep threat too. I would like to see Thompson play the football better in the air. Doesn’t square up very well. He’s a receiver to keep an eye on, definitely looks the part of a D1 recruit at WR.
