Burgess is a powerfully built wide receiver recruit that has impressed even dating back to his freshman year. He has a ton of experience under his belt, and rightfully so, the 2021 recruit just makes plays. His stout frame and strong lower body allows him to break out of tackles that most slot receivers cannot. Very good running vision after the catch. Excellent hands hauling the in pass away from his body. Burgess combination of power, running vision, and elusiveness is not matched by many receivers in this class, and it’s really a unique one at that. He should be around 200 lbs. by the time he is in college. Watching his film against the best teams on their schedule and he continued to make plays against whomever. He is also a good defender who drive his legs through the tackle too. Needs to continue to work on lateral quickness and getting more explosive in the hips, but really like the versatility and frame that the 2021 recruit has. Very coordinated athlete, does a very good job of going up for the football and timing his jump. That could also be beneficial at the SS spot to go along with his excellent vision in the open field.
