What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I am very versatile. I can play any position in the secondary, I can cover man to man and come down in the run. I have a high football IQ and push myself more than anyone else pushes me.

Smith tackles low and does a nice job of meeting the ball carrier at the waist. His tackling is probably his best attribute. Takes good pursuit angles, just a solid IQ when it comes to reading the play. Had two interceptions on the year, was pretty close to jumping a few more but was just a step behind. I think with his frame, he should really work on his hip quickness and man coverage, because he could definitely play some CB his senior, which could open the door for bigger schools. As it stands now, Smith should get solid interest from lower D1 programs. Definitely has the ability to play multiple defensive back positions and cannot deny his physicality. There was even one play where he rips the ball straight from the ball carrier’s hands and returned it another 30 yards downfield.
