Pearson has been a multi-year starter that has made a good impact over at Heard County. On the offensive side of the ball, he is a solid one-cut back who plays with a lot of physicality. Pearson has good balance breaking through tacklers and does a nice job of squaring up his pads. He shows solid determination while running, driving his legs through tacklers. Would like to see him improve his pad level though, and want to see him get more yardage after contact. Pearson needs to be more explosive coming out of his cuts, to be an effective back at the next level. Even though there are only a few brief highlights of Pearson on defense, he does a good job of cleaning up tackles and hits with impact. He has a good frame to play OLB at the next level, and is now around 200 lbs. going into his senior year. Pearson is a great student, so that should definitely boost his recruiting profile among high-academic programs.
