Johnson is a really good athlete, and if you are going solely off athletic potential, then FBS schools should be interested. He has good size, and can really accelerate to the football. You got to like his versatility at the next level, and to be honest, he could develop into a SS or OLB. Either way, he’s probably best suited to play closer to the LOS where he can get into the backfield and have a larger impact vs the run. Johnson can close, and I like how he goes into a tackle with his head up and showing overall good fundamentals. In coverage he doles out big hit after the catch, and you can see Clarke Central really tries to take advantage of his skill set putting him at FS, SS or CB. He plays way too off the receiver, and he seems to concerned about giving up the big play. He’s probably best of being a linebacker at the next level or a safety close to the LOS, and worse case he is a special teams player. Played some tough teams his SR year and they really surprised some HS in the area with how well they played down the stretch.
