Overstreet plays the game full throttle and does a great job fighting off blocks and delivering big hits in the backfield. He lacks traditional height but is very explosive with his tackles. I could see him making another really nice jump in the weight room. He really does flow to the football well, shows outstanding quickness. He is a quick accelerator and can hit top speed in just a few steps. Overstreet has the speed to play that hybrid SS role. I love how quickly he pursues the ball carrier. He looks very comfortable at nickle in a zone defense. Overstreet is a really good football player, and the amount of plays in pass coverage really strengthens his chances with colleges. I would like to see his turnover production increase his senior year, that could put him over the top with FCS schools.
