Harper is a DL with an OLB’s body. He is pretty quick off the snap and is in the backfield in a blink. What I really like is the initial punch he shows getting off blocks. Cannot teach his energy either. He is coming after the ball carrier like his hair is on fire. He’s a stout young man, and to be honest, it would be good to see him moving over to LB over the next year. He shows solid speed and good acceleration hitting his top speed, but definitely needs to work on changing directions so he make more plays in the tackle box. Really like how strong his hands are at the point of attack. That’s and his intense nature is really impressive to watch. He’s been first team All-Region both soph and jr year and has reportedly lost 10 lbs over the last few months. He is definitely a recruit to watch for this summer at camps.
