Parker is an elusive athlete that is harder to catch than a jack rabbit in the pocket. He reads the defender well, and sets them up with a bevy of fancy footwork to throw them off balance and out of position. Parker is a dual threat type QB but needs a good bit of work with his footwork and might be better suited as a receiver or running back at the next level. Regardless, he’s a great athlete with outstanding agility. His upside is pretty high since he could play multiple positions at the next level. Even the first play on his midseason SR film he makes a catch in the endzone over a defender in a jump ball situation. Stephenson has played their best games (vs SW DeKalb and Lovejoy) with Parker as the primary QB. Biggest improvement seems to be a higher release but we also saw him fall into bad habits as well.
He’s an great quarterback/ I’m sorry athleticism is what he acknowledge. Let’s not forget about the academics . All A”s even in college.??????
That’s great that he is doing well in school. I see that he ended up at Morgan State and is playing some defensive back, that should really take advantage of his quickness. Really hope he does well and graduates with a good degree. Best of luck to Darren in all of his life endeavors
