What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
All State in Track in the 100M & 200M both ways on the football field player at RB/OLB (star). 55 Tackles and over 500 yards as a Sophomore never missed a lift, practice, or game.
Stone has seized a share of the carries this fall in Aquinas offense, and what he has shown is definitely eye-catching in terms of seeing him as a potential D1 athlete. He breaks thru tackles well considering his frame, and I feel like he could add some very good weight. Would like to see Stone work on his lateral quickness a little more. He has a nice jump cut at the line of scrimmage, but doesn’t explode out of that move. Stone also plays defender where he is primarily a nickleback playing out in space and making solid tackles. Working on pad level on both side of the ball is another area of focus. Does a nice job of driving his legs through contact though. Stone’s general upside is intriguing, he has a good athletic profile, and another year in the weight room could make him one of the best players in Class A Private. The compact body type and explosive lower frame is definitely intriguing with Stone, and a little jump with his acceleration could put his recruitment up another notch.
